Mali is a special mix of grossular and andradite. It possesses a unique charming, soft yellow-green/golden-green hue, which is its most sought-after color, resembling fine-quality peridot but with a more brilliant luster.
Mali garnet is renowned for its very high refractive index, which gives it an exceptionally bright luster, similar to the adamantine luster of diamonds. It also exhibits relatively high dispersion. Although not as strong as in diamonds, it is among the highest in the garnet family, resulting in captivating flashes of spectral colors under light.
